Emergency Care?
Emergency care is available 24hrs to patients of "the Dentist"

We are at the end of the phone 24hrs a day and will even re-open the surgery for dental emergencies such as prolonged bleeding and severe swelling.

In the unlikely event of;
  • Bleeding after an extraction - Roll up a clean, damp gauze or handkerchief place it where the tooth has been removed and bite firmly for 30 minutes. Do not rinse your mouth. No hot drinks or alcohol. If this does not resolve within an hour please ring "the Dentist"
  • Severe pain - Please call as early as possible as we are pleased to advise over the phone. Most dental pain can be controlled in the short term by taking pain killers available at your local pharmacist
  • Severe swelling may need more immediate treatment. Please contact us
  • Broken denture - Please ring during surgery hours and we will do our best to organise a speedy repair
  • Oral cancer - Concerned? Click here http://www.mouthcancer.org.uk
  • For unregistered patients in pain please ring and we will offer you an appointment as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours)
