Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation where positive suggestions can be made in such a way that will influence the way an individual thinks, feels and behaves.


When you are hypnotised your mind remains alert and you will disregard anything that you think is detrimental to your well being. When you are in hypnosis you are in an altered state of awareness. You are fully aware of what is going on around you but you are only interested in what the hypnotist is saying to you. You will feel very relaxed, and will probably remain motionless. Your eyelids may flicker as you drift into hypnosis.


Once you have been out into a state of hypnosis, Liz will make positive, therapeutic suggestions to your subconscious mind. These suggestions will help you make positive changes to your behaviour.


Hypnosis to aid smoking cessation is not a magic cure. It also relies on your motivation. You must want to give up smoking in order for it to help you be able to give up.
