Charitable Works

THE dentist Salisbury - Complaints Procedure Header

At THE dentist we regularly raise money for charity, both individually and as a team.  We are all passionate about animals as well as humans, so like to provide support for both.

Please keep your eyes peeled on our social media channels for more fundraising, we’d love your support.

Walk for wards 2019

This year the whole team took part in the annual “Walk For Wards” run by the Stars Appeal Charity. We helped them raise funds for the second MRI scanner at the hospital. This is a charity close to our hearts as the current MRI scanner helped to recently diagnose our nurse Zoe’s brain tumor that had been causing her life altering problems over the past two years. We want to help as much as we can so more people like Zoe can be diagnosed and start receiving the help they desperately need. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, we raised over £1500 for the Stars Appeal Charity,

We held a coffee and cake morning on the 19th January and also a raffle at the practice (with some very tasty sugar free options of course) which raised over £200.

Drop off your clean toothpaste tubes/caps, electric toothbrush heads, old manual toothbrushes and toothbrush/toothpaste outer packaging for us to recycle! It’s not only great for the environment, but for every two hundred grams we send to them they will give us a £1 to donate to The Stars Appeal Salisbury.

Lands End to John O-Groats

Aly cycled from Lands End to John O’ Groats in September 2015 to raise money for Horatio’s Garden and Motor Neurone Disease association. That’s 1000 miles in 2 weeks, an average of 70 miles per day, what an achievement!

Bournemouth Half Marathon

On Sunday the 8th October 2017 Aly and Kirstie completed the Bournemouth half marathon. At mile ten they were struggling but they kept going and ran the whole way! So far they have raised over £700 for Horatio’s garden who create and lovingly care for beautiful accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres.
