I’m sure you have heard the wonderful news that we have been given the go ahead by the Chief Dental Officer to commence opening from Monday 8th June.⠀
⠀
The goal is to resume a full service to all our patients in a safe and effective way as soon as is practicable.⠀
⠀
To ensure safety of you and our team THE dentist will operate rather differently from before. The need for social distancing where possible and effective infection control prevention means new operating procedures must be put in place.⠀
⠀
Whilst a lot of the work has been done we are still waiting for delivery of the correct PPE. We are sure that you understand this is not easy to come by and with last night’s announcement a surge in demand is likely.⠀
⠀
At the beginning of the pandemic we donated the PPE we had to local care homes who had none.⠀
⠀
With the above in mind we aim to open at the beginning of July, earlier if we can.⠀
⠀
In the first instance will be triaging patients and prioritising those with urgent care needs.⠀
⠀
We urge you not to call us unless you have a dental emergency. We are unable to book appointments until everything is in place and we are ready to go. ⠀
⠀
As soon as our appointment book is open we will let you know and will specifically contact all those who are overdue.⠀
⠀
We are desperate to open our doors and get back to some sort of normality but we hope you understand that we must ensure it is safe to do so.⠀

We are one of the few independent dental practices left in the city and it’s because of you all we can keep our business going during this difficult time. We understand that over the phone consultations aren’t ideal but we thank you all for standing by us and we hope you can see we’re doing all we can. We have contacted denplan to see if we were able to lower your payments in any way for the time we are closed but sadly this was not an option. We are working hard to find a way we can give you something back for your faith in our practice and promise that you will not lose out. I’m sure you have heard the wonderful news that we have been given the go ahead by the Chief Dental Officer to commence opening from Monday 8th June.⠀
⠀
The goal is to resume a full service to all our patients in a safe and effective way as soon as is practicable.⠀
⠀
To ensure safety of you and our team THE dentist will operate rather differently from before. The need for social distancing where possible and effective infection control prevention means new operating procedures must be put in place.⠀
⠀
Whilst a lot of the work has been done we are still waiting for delivery of the correct PPE. We are sure that you understand this is not easy to come by and with last night’s announcement a surge in demand is likely.⠀
⠀
At the beginning of the pandemic we donated the PPE we had to local care homes who had none.⠀
⠀
With the above in mind we aim to open at the beginning of July, earlier if we can.⠀
⠀
In the first instance will be triaging patients and prioritising those with urgent care needs.⠀
⠀
We urge you not to call us unless you have a dental emergency. We are unable to book appointments until everything is in place and we are ready to go. ⠀
⠀
As soon as our appointment book is open we will let you know and will specifically contact all those who are overdue.⠀
⠀
We are desperate to open our doors and get back to some sort of normality but we hope you understand that we must ensure it is safe to do so.⠀

We would like to thank all of our denplan patients for your continued support. We are one of the few independent dental practices left in the city and it’s because of you all we can keep our business going during this difficult time. We understand that over the phone consultations aren’t ideal but we thank you all for standing by us and we hope you can see we’re doing all we can. We have contacted denplan to see if we were able to lower your payments in any way for the time we are closed but sadly this was not an option. We are working hard to find a way we can give you something back for your faith in our practice and promise that you will not lose out. We are also in talks with another dental membership company which gives us more control over our membership plans so we can do things just the way we like to at THE dentist.
